HOUSE REPRESENTATIVE VIKKI BREESE IVERSON CALLS FOR A LIFT IN PLASTIC BAG BAN

It is time to lift the plastic bag ban during this time to maintain safety in our grocery stores.

Salem, ORE. – Rep. Vikki Breese Iverson calls on the Governor to lift the plastic bag ban to help ensure coronavirus is not spread in the stores or to our essential workers across the state. “Our grocery and department stores need to be safe and make it easy for people to get in and out of the stores. Lifting the plastic bag ban will help accomplish this goal,” said Rep. Vikki Breese Iverson Rep. Breese Iverson continued, “Essential businesses need to have the flexibility in this environment. Reusable bags and other bags brought into the store are not guaranteed sanitary and could spread the virus. I call on the Governor to lift the ban for at least 30 days or as long as her Executive Order 20-12 stays in effect.”
